Study
Plans are available for our house plans. They allow you to further study the
design of the home prior to investing in the blueprints. They are intended for
those more interested in studying the design than in the construction details.
Prices start at $60. As a rule, the prices are based on $10 for each sheet of
drawings plus an additional $15 if photos of a built home or 3D drawings are
included.
Study Plans include:
A mini set of drawings on 11x17 paper via US Mail, or a PDF file sent as
an email attachment.
Typically has 6 to 9 pages of drawings depending upon the complexity of
the home. (An example can be downloaded from the link on the drawings on the
right.)
Schematic site plan, floor plans including basements (with room sizes and
furniture), all four exterior elevations in detail, a schematic section of
the house to help visualize the interior, kitchen elevations, garage plans
and elevations if detached
An 8.5x11 house plan flier that describes the home. The content is similar
to the text on the web site.
For some plans, 3D color drawings and/or photos are included (if the house
has photos listed in the drop down box on the web site, then these will be
included in the Study Plan Set)
Study Plans do not include:
Construction dimensions
and notes
Construction drawings (such as wall details, schematic framing, schematic
electrical)
Mirror Reverse Plans
Specifications and Custom Energy Recommendations to adapt the home to your
climate
And if you later decide that you would like to see the Construction Review
Set, we allow you to upgrade. Please see the Orders
